Magnolia's Fashion's Night Out cupcake

Last Wednesday, you were warned that the trendy term "pop-up" was set to soon be stretched. This coming Friday, Magnolia Bakery will hold its own "pop-up," with a miniature version of its store, complete with icing station, in the Ron Herman section of Melrose's Fred Segal store in conjunction with L.A.'s first "Fashion's Night Out." From 6:00 to 10:00 P.M., Magnolia will sell brownies, bars, cupcakes, and other treats, including a cupcake of Devil's food cake with meringue icing made special for the occasion, both here and at its Third Street bakery. During this September 10th stint, 50 cents from each cupcake sale will go to City of Hope. [Magnolia Bakery]
