Atch-Kotch

EatLA-1919

WHY Because there’s no better dive in Hollywood for ramen and chicken teriyaki.

WHAT This low-key secret is seldom packed but always tasty. The old Japanese couple who run the place take breaks from knitting and paperwork to bring you steaming bowls of ramen mixed with anything from fried chicken to raw egg. Choose from a variety of broths and noodles, or stick with the incredible chicken teriyaki, served with rice, salad, and the best little scoop of potato salad you’ve ever tasted. The walls are always covered with new series of art for sale, ranging from psychedelic photography to impressionistic paintings.

WHO Just you. Maybe a hungover ‘rock star’ or two.
