WHY This youngish café is everything that this gentrifying neighborhood promises to be: accessible, affordable and full of adorably attired babies.
WHAT At the corner of York and Avenue 50, this is a perfect little coffeehouse in a neighborhood that needed it. The menu is small, but everything is delicious (try the jalapeño bagels). There’s a fantastic selection of organic teas, as well as the expected lattes and mochas—and an amazingly creamy hot chocolate that’s full of spices. A row of little tables is perfect for laptops, and there are enough outlets for them all—plus free wireless.
WHO Twentysomethings working at their laptops and indie parents with cute indie children.
