WHY One of the better-value churrascarias in town, at about $27 per person during the week and $35 on weekends, when sassy dancers entertain the crowd (we prefer the quieter weeknights, which are still not quiet).
WHAT It’s a tremendously entertaining scene here, with huge family groups, waiters in gaucho pants carving meat off of swords, loud music and, on weekends, dancers shaking vivid tail feathers. Gauchos is one of many Brazilian barbecue joints popping up all over town, and while it’s not at the level of Fogo de Chao (the salad bar is pretty generic), the meat is good, it’s reasonably priced for what you get, and it’s fun for a family group.
