WHY For an obsessive approach to perfect coffee, made in a Clover or tableside via Chemex, served in the swankiest coffee shop in town. Excellent cold-brewed iced coffee, too.
WHAT Is it a coffeehouse or a restaurant? The answer seems to be the latter, thanks to the menu by consulting chef Michael Cimarusti (Providence). But you can still come here just for a cup of hand-brewed coffee or a meticulously crafted latte, though you’ll have to order it from a waiter instead of at a counter, and you’d better not be in a rush. If you’re a serious coffee person, you’ve probably already been here. If you’re not, it’s probably not worth it just for a cup of coffee—but it might be worth it for a foodie lunch.
