WHY Because you’ve never had Peruvian comfort food before—at least not like this.
WHAT Mo-chica is Ricardo Zarate’s take on Peruvian comfort food, once in a nonprofit food court but now served in a modern setting that transports you to the streets of South America. Tables are always filled, so make a reservation. Once you have the pan con tuna and the sweet potato beignets, you’ll be hooked. Try the extravagant cocktails and the alpaca stew, plan to share, and enjoy the behind-glass kitchen and posh 7th Street location with your order-to-share meal. Zarate also puts in time at his hot westside restaurant, Picca, but he makes sure the food rocks here.
WHO Adventurous palates and their dressed-to-the-nines counterparts.
