WHY The menu focuses mainly on updated American classics, and includes a wide selection of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie for sampling with the wines.

WHAT Quality live jazz is at the heart of this candlelit bistro, but the surprise is how good the food is, too. Try the Snake River Farms Kobe beef burger with sweet potato fries—it’s sensational. The crab cakes are also very good, as is the ‘duo of beef sliders’ appetizer of succulent grilled skirt steak and tender, savory short ribs on potato gaufrettes. There are plenty of wines by the glass for less than $10, which we appreciate (along with the generous pours).
