WHY Famous for the garlic bread, the Smoke House is best at old-school dinner-house fare like steak Sinatra, prime rib and shrimp Louie. A popular brunch buffet on weekends, early-bird specials and live entertainment in the lounge also draw fans.
WHAT Judy Garland is no longer dining at the Smoke House, but the faux-Tudor restaurant looks nearly the same as it did in her day. Studio workers from Warner’s and Disney, couples on dates and old-timers who have been eating here since opening day in 1946 love the vintage atmosphere, generous cocktails and retro menu. We usually stick to the cocktails.
