WHAT Celebrity chef Susan Feniger (Border Grill, Ciudad, Too Hot Tamales) is a warm-hearted Midwestern gal whose culinary passions are truly global, and at her solo venture she shares all those passions, from Burmese lettuce wraps to Egyptian basbousa lime cake. Now that it’s matured a little, Street has hit its groove, and almost everything is terrific: amazing slow-cooked Moscow-style eggplant, chicken soup with spoonbread dumplings, coconut Kaya toast, even a traditional Hawaiian plate lunch.

WHO Feniger’s chef pals, tattooed hard-body moms with adorable babies, and aging foodies who sport L.A. Eyeworks glasses and drive Priuses.
