WHY About 100 wines by the glass, with lots of flight options, and LQ’s food to accompany those wines.
WHAT A-list movie producer and Pasadenan Gale Anne Hurd brings a little Hollywood zing to non-showy Pasadena with her wine-focused restaurant—although the look is actually more New York sleek than Hollywood glitz, and it suits Pasadena well. So does the menu from acclaimed chef Laurent Quenioux; we particularly love the charcuterie, flatbread pizzas, great burgers and family-style Sunday suppers. The vast wine-by-the-glass selection has elite choices, of course, but also a few tasty $10-or-less glasses for the cheapskates among us, and the happy hour is a relative bargain.
