First, don’t forget about this weekend’s Beer Festival, which no L.A. beer lover will want to miss. Round out your culinary weekend with a trip to France and a trip to Thailand, all right here in the city of angels:
Friday-Saturday: Epicure Imports warehouse sale: It happens only a few times a year, so don’t miss this chance to buy French goodies — champagne, foie gras, charcuterie, chocolates, truffles, cheeses — at very low prices. Costco-style samples, too! Don’t forget to bring a cooler, and you might want to call first to confirm the hours. 6900 Beck Ave., North Hollywood, 818.985.9600.
Sunday: Songkran Festival,Thai Town (Hollywood): This Thai New Year celebration takes over Hollywood Boulevard between Normandie and Western from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There’ll be a parade, of course, and live music, folk dancing, a Miss Thai contest and speechifying, but most important there will be Thai food and lots of it.
