You may know your Italian olive oils, and be able to tell a Gargano from Puglia from a La Romita from Tuscany, but chances are you’re not as knowledgeable about Turkish olive oils. On Saturday you can begin to rectify the situation by attending a free tasting of olive oils from Laleli, a producer based in the Edremit area of Turkey, along the Mediterranean. The tasting will include two extra-virgin varieties, as well as oils flavored (not infused) with thyme, bergamot, orange and more. The tasting is part of a sidewalk sale and wine tasting at Early California Antiques in Hollywood.
