EAT: LA at Pages Bookstore

Attention South Bay locals: If you love seeking out, eating, making and/or talking about good food and drink, please join us at the wonderful new bookstore Pages in Manhattan Beach on Wednesday night. Several of the EAT: Los Angeles team, including Linda Burum, Miles Clements, Amelia Saltsman and Colleen Dunn Bates, will be on hand at 7 p.m. to talk about EAT: Los Angeles 2010, sign books, and join attendees in tasting food from two of Manhattan Beach’s finest homegrown hangouts: gastropub Simmzy’s and lively restaurant Tin Roof Bistro.

The event is taking place during Manhattan Beach’s first-ever Downtown Open House, when musicians will perform, artists will display, shops will be open late, and restaurants will have food and drink bargains. So you have many, many reasons to come out on Wednesday night.

Wonderful discussion of ethnic food, farmer’s markets and new restaurants. Great panel and learned that there are so many native Californians who write about food. How there will be another panel soon.
