This Sunday, March 3rd 2013 from 1 to 5 pm, LA Weekly will be hosting it’s 5th Annual Food & Wine Event PLATE (formally known as The Gold Standard) at the Peterson Auto Museum. The event will be highlighted by a selection of over 40 restaurants curated by the award-winning Squid Ink staff. Being the fifth go-around, they have welcomed back some tried-and-true favorites, as well as a new array of celebrated guests. Some of those participating include: Border Grill, Canele, Chichen Itza, Eva Restaurant, Fred 62, Huckleberry, Il Grano, Jitlada, Kogi BBQ, La Casita Mexicana, Little Dom’s, Lukshon, Mo Chica, Night + Market, Nickel Diner, the Oinkster, Palsaik, Park’s BBQ, Phillipe’s, Picca, Tom Bergin’s, and Wurstküche (with a full list of can be found here).
In addition to the top notch noshing, BUZZ Wine Beer Shop will be curating a selection of over 30 top-shelf wineries, all pouring their favorite vintages. If vino isn’t your pleasure, surely the spirits will delight, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Monkey Shoulder Whiskey, Hendrick’s Gin, Hornitos Tequila, Pinnacle Vodka, and Kinky Liqueur, as well as beer from Stella Artois. This is surely going to be one of the best foodie events so far in 2013, and even better, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the LA Food Bank.
