As a refresher, Congregation and New Belgium teamed up in December for a month-long promotion where the Ale House featured anywhere from 4 to 8 New Belgium Beers weekly. Each time a customer purchased a pint of beer they kept the pint and New Belgium donated $1 to charity. All in all, the people of Pasadena and surrounding cities drank 2,336 pints of New Belgium beers that month of December which would be a fantastic total as is. However that’s just the start of the story. Recently the owner of Congregation (Travis Ensling) decided he wanted to match the donation for a grand total of $4,672! Receiving the check will be Gunnery Sergeant Marquis Young, Coordinator of Pasadena Toys for Tots/U.S. Marine Corps.
We’d love to see you there to celebrate this great gesture – there’s going to all-day food and drink specials (thanks to Congregation’s Monday ‘Mass’) as well as multiple New Belgium beers on draft.
