It’s officially summer and that calls for some serious celebrating.
May we suggest…spiked lemonade? Actually, may we suggest…many spiked lemonades?
Now that we have your attention….
June 20th is Summer Solstice: the longest day of the year. It’s also ”Third Wednesday”: Downtown Culver City’s monthly shindig featuring specials at restos, bars, and retail outfits.
But this month’s Neighborhood Happy hour is even…happier: Culver City is celebrating Summer Solstice with a Spiked Lemonade contest.
Yes, it’s as awesome as it sounds.
From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., you’ll sip free samples of spiked citrus from approximately two dozen Culver City establishments including “Oaxaca Mezcal” lemonade from Kay and Dave’s, “Black Cherry” lemonade from Seventy7, and “Peace Lemonade” from the Whole Nine Yards. Then, you’ll cast your boozy ballot for your fave, frosty cooler.
In all fairness, you’ll want to sample all the contenders.
There will be virgin versions of the hard stuff but you won’t need a designated driver; June 20th is also the opening of the Expo Line’s Culver City metro station.
We notice your schedule is suddenly clear.
