If the Bon Appetit Grub Crawl is on your foodie radar, you’ve undoubtedly cleared your calendar and rounded up like-minded compadres. The rest of you might want to seriously reconsider your weekend plans: the customizable Grub (and Pub!) Crawl, which is co-sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, offers an impressive line-up of stops including a number of just-for-the-crawl options.
On the guided food tours, you’ll explore a neighborhood a day (0r night) with four to five stops in each area and transportation provided between too-far-to-walk sites.
On Friday, the Crawl visits Downtown Los Angeles and is equally Pub and Grub-centric. In addition to stops at Las Perlas, Seven Grand, and Umamicatessen, you’ll sip bathtub gin from a bathtub made of ice at Cole’s: otherwise famous for their iconic French Dip sandwiches.
Your Saturday tour of Hollywood and WeHo includes a sampling of globally-inspired nibbles and sips in the courtyard of Street from Top Chef contender Susan Feniger’s soon-to-be-released cookbook. After stops at Mozza Scuola Di Pizza, Pour Vous, the Spare Room and Night + Market, you’ll end the day with an open bar and a Vacationer concert at the Roxy: a ticket that can also be purchased separately.
In addition to visiting Sotto, Picca, and Lukshon during your Sunday tour of Culver City, Venice, and Abbot Kinney, you’ll savor an off-menu version of Sang Yoon’s iconic Office Burger burger at Father’s Office…and leave with a boozy ice cream sammie.
So…how’s that calendar looking now?
