The entries are closed, the judges are set, and the pie tasting is likely to be world-class at the first annual Good Food Pie Contest on Saturday. Organized by KCRW and Good Food radio show host (and chef) Even Kleiman, the contest is going to include some 140 pies, so there’ll be tastes for plenty of attendees.
The judges are a select bunch, including Campanile chef Mark Peel, Los Angeles Times food editor Russ Parsons, cookbook author Amelia Saltsman, L.A. Weekly writer and Squid Ink editor Amy Scattergood,
