Food Trucks Arrive (Finally) in the SGV

The city of Pasadena has not been real friendly to food trucks, so the mania that’s swept L.A. was slow to hit there. But Kogi figured out that it could stop in Altadena, just over the Pasadena border and in unincorporated L.A. County territory, and soon others followed suit. We invited the Grilled Cheese Truck to our signing for EAT: Los Angeles 2010 at Vroman’s, which made the great bookstore realize the asset they have in their large, private parking lot, and now trucks stop there regularly. And Pasadena seems to be loosening up—look for interesting trucks, for instance, at Jones Coffee’s Open Mic nights, the second Friday of each month.
